French Fries


Billy got a fryer for Christmas. Honestly, the eleven year old boy was demonstrably excited about getting a fryer. 

Well, a fryer begs to be used. So, first, let's try French fries. 


I got a bag of Russett potatoes. Started with two. Heated vegetable oil up to 350 degrees. Sliced the potatoes. 


Put the potato slices in the basket. Submerged the potatoes for 4 minutes. Take them out. Let them sit to drain the oil. Put in a bowl. Added salt for flavor. 

Voila. French fries.
